    Home!Home at last!

Had to let out all the hot air from 3 days of ± 100° weather….let in some cool night breezes….

Sit in my own shabby chair, at my own computer….

    Yay!

Even though Elvis is tired, he doesn’t mind the trip to Ballard Street from here… so somebody please tell the little monkeys we’ll be right there…

Natalie and her call faded in importance to Digger, when he suddenly received a call of his own….

It was loud in his ears… “Can’t you hear it?” he thought….

It was the call of the flying bird, the call of the free-running rabbit….of the wind in the trees, the open fields, the scent of July …

The call of the wild!Welll… or maybe the call of the electric can opener…Digger wasn’t sure which.

I see no watch today, but (like Alice’s White Rabbit) I think Digger got a call that made him say “I’m late !”

Natalie, Rusty Boy doesn’t need a watch to know when it’s time to visit Ms Millie. You know for Rusty Boy the time is always right. How is it that all of recorded history can be ignored at such a critical moment? Natalie, surely the cell phone is no more at the peak of technology than the water wheel or steam engine in their times. Be ready and stay ready. Take it from ole Rusty Boy, nothing trumps Natural Law.

Belated Good Morning Ballardeers !The ole Capt. here is a bit late getting started today but am raring to go. So that was who I saw flying through my back yard behind Scooter ? Poor Natalie. She never was very good at multi-tasking.Bev.‘s going to the lake for a reunion so I know she won’t be around but I have yet to hear from Stel and Susan ( or even Munkey ) about the finalized plans for tomorrows festivities.I have already got my galleon, The Irish Rover, decked out ( no pun intended ) in patriotic bunting and other 4th of July stuff, ( flags ballons, etc.). I have gone overboard ( again no pun really intended ) with the fireworks this year, which we will be setting off in Ballard Bay from the ship and the two barges attached to her that I borrowed from the boys at Ballard Barge and Boat Boutique.Everything is smooth sailing except, I haven’t heard what’s happening with the barbeque and the parade. What’s up guys ?

Strange how some people got banned for virtually nothing . . .I remember how hard it was to get someone reinstated. If I watch fireworks it is usually on TV (new years).

Today was Bday of my favorite DIL (never favored any of my kids over the others, but of 3 DIL, one is now divorced so I’m not allowed to like and one is not prone to communication) We had a long chat on many subjects and I realized that I’d like her mom if she were still around (lots in common).
