“Martin is older” is no argument – he will also be older in 20 years so does it mean Red will never be allowed to light fireworks just because he has an older brother? I sure hope not. “Martin is at over X years old” would have been better.

I could handle my older brothers getting to do things I couldn’t because they were older. What really ticked me off was them getting special privileges for being boys. That was wrong and unfair and even all these years later I still resent it.
