I love reading Marmaduke every Sunday. It’s hilarious. But there’s nothing funny about canine bloat, which is often deadly: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gastric_dilatation_volvulus
One of the causes is too much water over a short period of time. Large breed dogs like Marmaduke are especially at risk.
I hope Mr. Anderson sees this and will publish a warning about canine bloat next Sunday!

I love hearing dogs lapping up water.
The sound of Marm lapping the water will make anybody go deaf.
