The future generations will probably emigrate when they see the size of their debts. Where’s the incentive for them to stay and prop up the previous generation? When they haven’t and never will receive the benefits of those same baby boomers.
Get off it. We’ve seen what happens when the Republicans control both houses of Congress and the White House. The budget deficit and national debt went up, the unemployment rate doubled, the government grew even larger, and the NSA was given the powers the current administration is being criticized for using.
For what it’s worth, Lisa is talking about California and their new found revenue and temporarily balanced budget. I suppose it could apply on any level of government, but Californian’s, knowing they were facing a tax hike in 2013, heavily sold investments that would be subject to gain at the end of 2012. As such they had a surplus of revenues over what was expected. In spite of the fact that it is pretty much assured to be a one time event, our legislators are practically killing each other over ways to spend it, ignoring the unfunded healthcare, pension debt, bankrupt cities and other long term liabilities. Trying to control spending for the Sacramento “super majority” has been almost like an addict struggling with addiction, they just gotta have it…
But the reality is , you, Jase, do not see what has happened the past five years with Obama in control. You best check your “facts” again as your post is just a whack job and a poor guess on your part.Excuse you? What part of my post is false? It seems you are unable to refute my post so you compensate by attacking me.

California raised taxes, and their government is healthier than it would have been if they didn’t. None of Lisa’s spin changes that basic fact.

Yet another non-response. And one that’s sooo clever. And original.
