Most people would just go to both. Everybody on the street where my dad had a rental house always had their garage sale the same day (my mother-in-law’s entire home town did the same). We were cleaning up between tenants one of those days. I wanted to open up the garage door and say, “Make an offer” but Dad vetoed the idea – in his mindset, a garage sale invited burglars to come later.
