I fell asleep in the back booth of the Tiki….

I thought I was gathering ideas but I think they were dreams….

Little monkeys, are you OK? Why didn’t you wake me?

No, it’s only Big Monkey you shouldn’t wake up.But as long as everything is OK…..

I know that look in Mildred’s eye.

Gary may want to stand there taking notes….but Mildred has things to do.

    Important things to do.

And they start at Glenda Birdwell’s Better Bra, Bridal Gown and Glitter Girdle Fittery….SOON…. very soon…. (in the ladies’ room, actually, but we don’t need to mention that in such polite company.)

pcolli…. I have always hated lined paper.Very hard to find notebooks with unlined paper.

Listen, paper manufacturers, teachers, and other limiters of my scribbled fancy….

    Lined paper stifles the Soul!

I carry one of those small spiral notebooks everywhere. They are invaluable for jotting down directions, phone #‘s etc. Yes I know I can do same thing on my phone but you can’t tear a page of your phone and hand it to someone.

I keep such a spiral (and roller ball pen) in center compartment of my car (with a comb and extra sun glasses). I agree that fountain pens were a problem, tho’ I still have some cartridge pens for calligraphy. Both can leak!

@Susan, I’ll need to visit that shop soon too. I’ve lost so much weight that I need a professional fitting!

    Oh, X! … Thank you!

I’m with the Veteran on this one….what’s with this “straight across the page” mindset?

If I want a drawing in the bottom right corner, some diagonal writing to the left…a little box around a phone number on top….

    It’s MY notebook, isn’t it?

What passes for my handwriting is very fast, largish, and not always all that legible, though I can write like a schoolteacher and even do some calligraphy if I make myself slow down.

But…um…. X…. please please please…. I’ll rush to an XTI shop today, and buy a half dozen each of the last 3 sizes!

(2×3 is for left-brainers… The rest are quite useful…. 11×17 is wonderful though hard to carry….)

But do you think you could find it in your heart…. or …OK…. whatever part you do it with…..to make 5×8 or 6×9 side…. ?THAT’s my size in notebooks.Either will do.

    Stel and Bev….

Glenda Birdwell opened her Better Bra, Bridal Gown and Glitter Girdle Fittery just 3 weeks ago…it’s not ON Ballard, but around the corner, on Spruce, in a residential area.

She had to wait for a zoning variance from the City Council….and part of the deal is that she doesn’t advertise, but relies on word of mouth, to keep down traffic on Spruce Street.

I glitter her hair, of course….. or I might not know.

I have to leave soon…. but when I can I’ll take a picture, so you can find it….

Bev…. the place is too new to need to have a sale yet…..and I hear it’s pretty expensive….

but the merchandise is all carefully and individually fitted.

If you’re interested, I’ll give her your phone number….I hope you’re not shopping for a wedding gown!

    That Fiireman is too young!

I haven’t doodled since my high school days. I never was much of a doodler.

You can buy unruled note pads. I’ve seen them, but I won’t buy them. I really don’t have an artistic flair.

Agreed, Happy! The commenters on the pages that I read are what makes this site more fun to visit. I read a few (actually 9) other comics at another site and that takes mere minutes a day!

Today was my first of 4 free days in an Exercise Coach studio. I am thinking of signing up to do a year or so. I expected to see more cardio, but there may be more as I’ll see use of the other machines next time. This place could build me more strength but I’d rather do some exercises just for the problem spots that plague all women (belly, underarm and inner thighs).

Grog and Route66 — I’ve looked everywhere all my life for unruled pads….

Most are scientific or sketchpads, and both are heavier paper and way more expensive than ordinary spiral notebooks…hard to justify scribbling, doodling, ripping off bits for phone numbers, etc. Every now and then I find a happy accident, like cheap notebooks from a country not hung up on horizontal lines….and stock up…though these days I don’t carry one as obsessively as I once did.

Susan, as I mentioned earlier (in a whisper) I will need a fitting once I get finished with all my vegetarian thing (and hopefully gain just a little weight back, in the right places)I had a class at an actual gym today so I had to wear something other than the mesh swimsuits I use in this weather

Oh, And I breezed right past the doggy without reading that Happy is feeling his loss. (((Happy))) So sorry to hear! I still remember how I felt when Cuddles passed in my arms back in 2008 on June 20th, right after dawn. She was my constant companion back then. I could not even talk about her for weeks without dissolving into tears. Then I adopted Fitzroy the next October, but he was a pet, never spoke well, but I miss him too. I put my only video on Youtube of Cuddles talking a little.

I’m Dazzle Birdy on there (surprise).
