Sadly, this cartoon does show an attitude that prevails in the GOP ranks. A submission from the Democrats is treated with suspicion, a submission from this President is treated as toxic. That said, Mikefive if correct. It does not take a large lens in order to see the warts on leading Democrats. Our two party system has become an oligarchy made up of competing, yet cooperating, powers whose primary goal is to gain majority power while keeping third and fourth parties from forming. It is UnAmerican, and unethical. Our willingness to be uncivil to each other rather than cooperating in forcing our legislators and President to do their jobs with honor, civility, and respect gives us this, not the gov’t we want, but the gov’t which we have been presented.Respectfully,C.
Susan Rice is being appointed because of her competence. Rethuglican’ts are displaying not only their inherent racism, but their distain for women all in one phony outrage.
The T-party was created by Americans for prosperity, which was created by the Koch brothers. They don’t plan to say in the USA forever, he has a sizable ranch in Brazil or Argentina to flee to when things ignite. so it was formed by a couple of guys who are amongst the .01% who own most of the wealth in this country. Of course they want loopholes, no tax on the wealthy, no checks or regulations on corporations. The T-paarty people who think they are so patriotic, want to off the president and democrats, want corporations in charge. they just don’t know it. they think the stand for Church, Guns, and would love to all live in bunker-like places.
I’m told our legal system is based on presumption… the presumption of innocence. Though if there’s innocence, there may still be negligence. My stance is that our two party oligarchy are doing things that are very wrong for the nation, but you are correct to believe I consider CURRENT Republican leaders to be more wrong than the Democrats. But both are ‘wrong’. They won’t be ‘right’ until they start negotiating and compromising. Then they will probably still not be “completely right”, but they’ll be closer. Are you implying Mr. Obama has an ulterior motive for giving Ms. Rice the NSA seat? Other than the fact that he likes to have proven old friends to supervise many of the offices connected to his administration, what would a motive be? He wants people he trusts won’t let him down and give him plausible deniability when needed. Haven’t all presidents had those?Be well Ansonia.Respectfully,C.

Republicans would very likely oppose anyone he picks no matter how they are. How very Republican of them.

I wish Obama had adopted this “in your face” attitude 4 years ago. We might have had real health care passed.

“Mushroom shaped cloud”, yes, Rice was a total liar, and 9/11 showed she was totally incompetent. Oh, THAT Rice, Condoleezza!
