Orwell wrote very little “sci-fi” and if you had read much of his work, you’d know that. He couldn’t have figured on a President Obama because, in his ifetime, bigots like you were in the majority.
Tigger: Christians were the ones dropping bombs on Viet Nam, Grenada, Panama, Nicaragua, Afghanistan, Iraq, Serbia (interestingly that was Serbian Christians killing Muslims!). The mess in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo, proves BOTH sectarian groups are totally nuts. (and have been for centuries)
we need people to love and support our country and we don’t need to be afraid of it. This is not the USSR or the 3rd reich. Even tho some people seem to think that.We do have, or had a democracy. We are heading toward a plutocracy and that isn’t good. A Nation does NOT prosper when only the prospourus thrive. A good economy is caused by more adequate wages that let the people buy things they need.
Ima: hate to tell you this, but Russia not only has a Constitution, it on paper at least, gives greater power to the people than ours does. But like Reagan (Meese), and the Bush boys (Ashcroft, Gonzales et al), soviet and Russian leaders have a history of ignoring it.
