As a boy we had a coal, milk and laundry chute in our house. These days it’s getting odd to see phone jacks in a house.Time moves on. Things change.

Burning Mountain in Australia has been burning for an estimated 6000 years. Brennender Berg in Germany has been burning for over 300 years. Centralia PA has been burning since 1962, and was inhabited until just a year or two ago!

“Bitten to death by a beaver.” Reminds me of the headlines, years ago, when the peanut farmer was president and he stated that he’d been attacked by a rabbit. How come that didn’t make Ripley’s?

even insects are sentient. I feel bad to kill one, but if it comes in my house all bets are off.

Worst of all, most of that carbon is in the form of carbon monoxide since it is burning with a limited amount of oxygen.
