Again, although I like marginalizing the tea party as much as the next guy, the law is the law. I don’t like it, but as long as it’s the law, tea party groups should have no more (and no less) scrutiny than any other group.

A lot of tax “cheating” is perfectly legal. This is the true problem. But we can depend on Congress to fix the tax system by plugging loopholes; they said they would.

It is not that they are or are not doing anything wrong. it is that instead of doing places like churches that are not suppose to give campain donation they are only targeting group that are republican and it should be both groups

Actually, I don’t say this often, but this cartoon, while still partisan hackery, has an excellent point. The Tea Party is essentially built on the idea of not paying taxes. Why SHOULDN’T the IRS watch them a lot more closely?

    Fair Tax. Enough said.

BTW, all of those who wrongly state a Fair Tax would hurt the poor, I can prove to you that the Fair Tax would put the equivalent of 20 paychecks back into the pockets of people making less than the average household income.

Guess the libs are afraid some of thesse Tea Party groups would get approved and then, Like Media Matters, the IRS would fail or refuse to audit and revoke designation because of purely vitriolic political actions. I doubt anyone ever thought about the IRS not auditing these entities. The cartoonist sparks conversation, but only because he takes a baseless hyper-partisan position.

Mr. Pink, there is no need to tip any money when you go to a restaurant as they already are getting paid

That said, while you fumble about paying the debt, but more unfortunate the interest piles up.

“Reverse the table we have a Republican President and the IRS targeting Liberal Groups” It has already happened. Bush administration targeted the NAACP’s tax status

There are thousands od Democrats who are not just rich, they are wealthy, and they know how to hide their income. Also notice how many of O’s cabinet members as well as in the House and Senate are wealtly (Kerry for one) or who have filled for bankruptcy, not paid taxes, and they have money hidden away. If I don’t pay what little I owe, I go to jail! Seems fair ???

Yeah, just like the Republicans question my God-given right to blow up buildings. What’s with that?

(Or maybe, it’s not about what a person does wrong; it’s that the Constitution exists to limit what the government can do to prevent or punish it.)
