Military Officer: If we could've predicted this shameful culture of sexual abuse...
Military Officer: We never would've allowed women in the military in the first place!
Military Officer #2: I knew they'd hurt morale!
Just a note: My neighbor at one time was a WAC, a WW II veteran. A close, friend was also an excellent medic who saved many lives. She was killed by an IED near what would have been the end of her second tour in Iraq.
The lack of leadership in the Pentagon, for years, has been far harder on morale, and morals, in our mlitary.
There have been a couple of commentators who have almost said the same thing the cartoon says. But then, there are male newsmen at Fox who are in trouble with their female co workers for complaining about women being head of household or chief money makers in a household.Sexism, racism, and classism is alive an well in America. Democracy and civility have become endangered qualities.Respectfully,C.
Reminds me of Mr. Rumsfeld, whose annoyance at the abuses at Abu Graib had nothing to do with the abuses, but with the fact that people chose to document them.
Ima; I realize you never actually read (or just comprehend) what people say, but I noted MANY years. The worst morale breakers, with lowest morals, were Secretaries of Defense Cheney, and Rumsfeld. McNamara certainly wasn’t any great shakes either, but couldn’t hold a candle to those to for destroying our military. Go back an review their actions, like reducing troops and increasing reliance on technology, and you get a glimpse of how we ended up in Iraq with the totally inadequate “army you’ve got”. It took Cheney and Rummy years to accomplish that fiasco.

I think you’ll find there was sexual abuse in armies long before women were allowed in.

As a U.S. military veteran, I can assure you the pentagon doesn’t give a rat’s ass about troop morale.
