This answers several people’s questions about how the remains are handled. We still don’t know about trash recycling, though.

Wonder what kind of coffins they use. Wood would be scarce and a more solid material such as tin or copper would be difficult. I have gone all this time with " out the bridge and into the water."Oh well, as used as I am to being right it is about times that I relax and enjoy somebody else being right. The smell alone would forbid having a dump. Burning is out of the question, even smoking should be suspended because of the population increase of pollution. But too many persons smoke Blessed Be

Graves out of solid rock and that are stalactites in the background. I would have guessed that in Endtown the dead would be burned or airdryed in catacombs like the Nord graves in Skyrim. But I agree with DOL, to much smokers for an enclosed Biosphere of that size.

I hope the Topsiders aren’t able to detect that jackhammer through seismography. That would go for any kind of industrial plants in Endtown too.

I have a feeling the most popular movie in Endtown right now is Death Takes A Holiday.

It looks like Vince is chipping through a thin layer of concrete foundation with the jackhammer and there’s dirt underneath…I say looks ‘cause I don’t know what Mr. Neathery intended…

If he is jackhammering into the floor of the cave, it makes its own coffin. Just put the pulverized rock on top.Still would be pretty stinky in that section, though..

This is one of the sadder realities of cleaning up after a riot; burying the dead. The saddest reality is that the peace has been shattered within Endtown, and all over the trivial affair of baking a cake with mutant by-products. I wonder where Roxey, who tattled on Linda to Octavius Algood, is now days…if she’s witnessed the riot or has become a victim. Her role has either ended or she’ll resurface later.

Look more carefully it’s matrix. It’s cave holes or entrances.

So, Endtown was partly constructed instead a giant, underground cave system that was expanded into a super giant underground city. Makes you wonder what else is further down in those caves.

Well that confirms the hardness of Endtown. I will bet that hammer tip is diamond harden just to bust up the rock. Concrete would probably be the filler. Easy to make. Limestone (crushed), sand or shale, fine stone, water. All the ingredients are there naturally. Portland cement. Sound travelling to the surface? Remember the air hammer is aimed downwards so the seismic noise will go into the earth and absorbed. The rest of the noise the size of cavern would absorb it. They are a mile underground. This may explain how outsiders from underground settlements may have gained access to Endtown. If in theory outside elements have infiltrated the society for the purpose of destroying it or stealing its resources. Remember the Owl and the other one walking with Linda in her previous story line. “Tunnelers”, Miners????Life and death underground. Talk about your Human Values. And not a single flower on the graves. But at least they have markers. That is what allows the dead to rest. Knowing they are not forgotten. And Jenner…………..you forgot shoes and handbags and footballs.(snicker)

Veteran,This confirms the hardness of Endtown in more than one way. There are times when I wish for something a little lighter but I give Aaron credit for willing to be this grim. I always figured that Endtown would have found a more space efficient way of handling corpses, but Aaron likes the old fashioned ways, and nothing is more traditional than a grave.

mr_shermanRead your post from yesterday.Amen on that bro, that is exactly what love is. Not what you feel but what you do.I agree lets see where Wally goes. Does he finally say its time to stop running. And RobertHolly went to work as she works day shift. Wally was just hanging around hanging out. That is where this may lead to. Wally coming to terms. Right now if he could he would run away.

For everyone wanting to buy the next two Endtown books, Jarlidium says that they’re working on it. They should have been open for taking pre-orders on Monday, and now they’re saying “Wednesday”. So, hopefully, that will start some time this week.Don’t forget about the Endtown auction, either! Bidding closes Wednesday at midnight on the original panel art for Holly’s first appearance in the strip, plus there’s the ink wash original of Holly in “Burden”. Help keep Endtown running!“Enter the Mouse”“Burden”

We do know one thing about the Oracle. It can exist in a pool in a cave or in a glass of water sitting on some ones head. It seems entity like without form or shape but able to exist. If it was in the glass was it absent from the cave??Or is the water just its medium to cross over the realities. The voice is not real but heard in your head.Remember Marx drank it like it was water. If it was a physical would that not basically be consuming it? So if everyone took a drink no more Oracle.

Caves tend to be formed where softer rock is washed out, and the harder rock remains. That might be why the jackhammer is needed.

Looks like a heck of a way to have “growing pains”. All countries undergo chaos on the way to stability..you’d think humans would wise up, sit down, and solve their differences peacefully before it comes to a situation like this. For all our supposed advancements since we came out of the caves…we’re still thinking with a post-ape mind. Do it my way or I’ll kill you. No wonder our species is self-destructing.
