‘Average’ and ‘mean’, math terms throw me every time.

But she does have a nice figure.

I’d get that joke if I could remember my high school math!

Better to be called average, dear, than the lowest common denominator.Of course, if you were called the latter in THIS group, it would be a lie.

8 is the average both of 3+4+17 and of 3+4+17+8. So she is not only an average of the boys, she’s also the average if she is counted with the boys.

oceola… any time you add the mean of a sum, or even multiples of it, to that sum, it will behe mean of the new sum… kinda by definition. Think about it… if three numbers add up to 24, that’s three eights, which is why we say the average, or mean, is 8. No matter how many more eights you add, it’s still going to average 8.

@cdward. No, she will still be average. 24 + 8 = 32.. 32 ÷ 4 = 8

8 is the mean or average (its the same thing) but the median would be either 4 or 6 depending on whether or not you count the 8 as part of the set. if you include the 9 as part of the set the 8 is both mean and median.

She’s not prime.

They may think she’s average, but they know if they can get her to lie down, the possibilities are infinite.

So, if you are average, that means you do not deviate from the standard.
