It turns out that someone, likely in Congress, altered the E-mails then leaked them to ABC news. Fox then took the reporting from ABC and ran with it. Republican members of Congress then began grandstanding on the basis of the reporting. There’s the real scandal. And now we have a cartoon by a cartoonist who seems more interested in carrying water for the Republican party than coming across as informed. A truly disgraceful episode.

Iran/Contra, WMDs, why not focus on activities that got serious numbers of people killed, AND violated the Constitution, international law, and U.S. law? (BTW Reagan and Congress defined Iran as an “enemy of the United States” and North et al gave them direct “aid and comfort”, hmm, what’s that called?)
