He should just hang a picture of his mother from the mirror. I’m sure the parking enforcement officer would understand.

Someone gav me dirty looks when I hung a disabled pass on the mirror and went loping into the mall; but I was there to fetch my father from his appointment with a medical clinic in the mall. Anyone seeing he help him hobble out of the mall understood that I was using that space for its intneded purpose. However, I frequently feel the same way as you; just remember that they sometimes have a good reason for using that space when they’re using the disabled pass. When they’re usurping the space “just for a minute” so they can spend 10 minutes buying ciggies and a donut, I’d rather leave nails under the tires than a note under the wiper.

Why not just drop her in front and find a legal space?

I had an uncle with a heart condition, and a valid handicapped placard. To look at him you wouldn’t know he was handicapped, and he always got the dirtiest looks from people. There are two kinds of handicapped, internal physical issues and external ones. Just because a person isn’t missing an arm or a leg doesn’t mean that person is not handicapped.

I’m with you all on wanting to leave a note (or nails) when I perceive what seems to me to be an injustice, but I would rather chill with a cup of Dr.T’s coffee and give the benefit of the doubt.

I am in favor of the ejection seat idea though.
