Timmy’s word balloon is pointing the wrong way in the first panel.

Blackwolff… it’s OK, cos so is Burl’s…so if you add the two wrong ones together….Wait… that doesn’t work….Truth is, Julie admits that she often re-works old panels…but when she puts in the new dialogue, she doesn’t seem to care which way the balloons originally pointed.

Leaky… I think his shorts are just too tight.

Come to think of it… they all seem to suffer from wearing their shorts too tight… no air to their brains, while their heads are up…OK, never mind.

I know it’s in the service of today’s humor… but Timmy isn’t usually so rude… he’s always been a sweet kid.

I guess he’s been hanging around too much with his smart-mouthed Grandpa…and his mean-spirited friends.

I am surprised Burl plays chess, I would think his favorite game was Hungry Hungry Hippo, but maybe he has lost the marbles.

Takes one to know one. Why is Timmy being accused in the first panel when it’s Burl not being nice? It looks like Julie erred in who’s mouth it was supposed to be. I guess they have to take turns at it. Brain bleach, stat!

Yes, 2 balloons are misdirected and it DOES seem that Timmy is more rude than we used to see him. I think that was done just so that Burl would catch the brunt after being a butinski earlier.

@Susan, I’m sure he started tattleing as a child younger than Timmy.

@Toenails, I’ve been lucky enough not to run into any of those. When I moved here, I had read that they hang out more in areas near the mountains and canals, so in my house hunting I avoided “mountain views” and I’m about a mile from nearest canal. I can see McDowells off in the distance (and I only swim when I’m sure that I’ve kept the water and deck free of bugs).

Let’s not forget that Dale is really the LCD in that group and Timmy is with him the most. Also, from the looks of the chessboard Timmy might have lost a pawn while he’s wiped out Burl’s pieces.
