I don’t care who Mark Sanford diddles. I don’t even care if he’s a liar or a hypocrite because it’s the status quo for elected officials. Why waste the energy caring?

The fact that Sanford ran on family values and his superiority to Bill Clinton makes it an issue. Bill Clinton never insisted someone resign for an act, then perform that act (plus a number of crimes) and then refuse to resign. Sanford is an embarrassment to the Republicans, but they deserve him as a symbol of the complete lack of any moral standing of their party and party plaltform.
