What people don´t seem to get is it doesn´t help much to go in expecting it to be Assad, and then later find out it was the rebels that got hold of the weapons.
Isn’t the point to stop the slaughter, and restore order. Whoever is using the weapons. Besides being clubbed to death kills you just as surely as Sarin, VX etc.
The point is, we’re not the cops. With the Islamist taking over the opposition, there are no good guys anymore. I’m generally as hawkish as they come, but this is war to stay out of.
