I’m a guy, and I prefer not to wear shoes. One of my best friends is a guy who wears them less than I do. Reynard61 is right about our culture having some very strange notions about footwear.
The U.S. drugstore chain CVS, for example, falsely claims on its signs that the health department requires patrons to wear shoes—no health department in the entire country has such a requirement.
