The war on terror will never be won as long as the gap between the rich rich and the middle class and poor continues to widen, as set by republican policy.
Many of the people in GTMO aren’t guilty of anything and the Obama administration and various other government goons aren’t going to make it easy for them to prove their innocence.
The US declared war on Japan, and Germany then declared war on the US. So the soldiers of both Japan and Germany were indeed enemy combatants. But, neither the US nor any other country has actually declared war on any other country here. So, these people are NOT enemy combatants. But anybody that would kill innocent people IS certainly a criminal. These people are certainly no more enemy combatants than are gang members that do drive by shooting, and therefore also kill innocent people! All of these people should be tried in a court of law, and if found guilty then incarcerated in federal prisons. We should give no more status to these criminals than any other criminals, especially as those behind terrorism want such people to be treated as martyrs anyway!!

If you go to a high security federal prison you do NOT escape, and these are absolutely NOT country clubs as some of our more misinformed people here would say! I have seen several programs on such places, and I can not imagine a worse fate that to be incarcerated there for the rest of my life with no possibility of parole. Death by almost any means would be preferable!!
We would all be better off if we ignored the trolls (Ms. Ima, HOWGOZIT, Gore Bane, Brandon, etc.) … all they do is spew the same one-and-two-line bulsit on each page — rants that get under the skin of right-minded people … consider that either (1) none of them care any more than to hit-and-run like most who spray grafitti on any blank space, and don’t really care what anybody thinks, or (2) some right-wing/Tea Party sugah dadda pays them to spew this garbage, making them low-life freeloaders, just as they accuse everybody who actually employs actual thought processes before posting on the Internet.
I would be VERY interested to see a DD214 proving more than three months of honorable service from any of these right-wing trolls … but I expect that could never happen …
