Not hardly the first negative effect from deregulation since Ray-gun’s folks took over. Not just in Texas either, but hey, laws and regulations don’t do any good, just ask the NRA.

Rick Perry had a chance to learn from not one but TWO Texas City disasters—including one that happened under his watch in 2005 which resulted in the deaths of 15 and injury to a hundred. The 1947 tragedy was a massive explosion of fertilizer, which leveled the town and killed hundreds of people.

What rational people should be wondering now isn’t what’s going on in that mush-filled cavity inside Rick Perry’s skull, but where the next explosion will be.

It’s clear that Rick Perry doesn’t learn from these kinds of things. Texas will need to look beyond the governor’s mansion (or whatever unnecessarily expensive, fancy rental he’s living in these days) to determine where the next disaster will be and how to prevent it.

Perry won’t. He’ll spend his time attacking political cartoonists because he wears big ole cowboy boots and all.

Why doesn’t Perry just take Texas and secede? He represents the very worst of America. Don’t forget the rock at his ‘camp’ that had painted on it such an offensive racial slogan that you can’t repeat it in polite society. Typical right wing extremist, the sort that is slowly destroying our country. A true insult to intelligent thinking.

By your reasoning we shouldn’t build gasoline stations in towns because all that gas could explode if someone is smoking at the pump! We shouldn’t have restaurants either because some of them use natural gas and that could be a health hazard. And forget driving cars! Those things are time bombs on wheels!

As an actual Texan?[]Uncle Sam and the city planners are both guilty as well.[]The planners let the buildings get that close, and Uncle Sam dropped the ball on running inspections. []If you want to start pointing fingers, point at them in addition to the state officials.

So according to all the liberals here, it’s the federal government’s fault for not inspecting the plant.

Hmm….. Who’s been the CEO in Wasington DC the last 5 years?

“Well, all that regulation worked out so well, why not add a couple hundred MORE layers?

Sheesh, the sheer stupidity of people who think government is capable of anything other than waste, fraud and over-reaching attempts to control peoples’ lives…“GOOD, then you’ll support dismantling the the armed forces first. and who needs roads?
