I’m not. That’s why I prefer foot wear with Velcro straps.

Ok that was already the right size, and it posted fine with exclamation points.

We’ll see whether it stays there.

Radish… that would be awfully quick…would have to be done by a computer…

It’s possible they’re pulling photobucket links…. but some work. And they don’t seem to filter inappropriate language, the way the computers did (to a ridiculous degree) on Comics.com.

They seem to leave it to the community to flag.

GoComics hasn’t banned the short cuts. They now replace the exclamation points with <img src="URL" alt=""> in the img short cut (where URL is your link to the image). Note the double quotes around the URL. Previously it was <img src='URL' alt=''>

    You type:!http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g342/x_Tech_nth/Emoticons/AddEmoticons0253.gif!HTML:<img src="http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g342/x_Tech_nth/Emoticons/AddEmoticons0253.gif" alt="">

The short cut still works, you just can’t add the width attribute. If you add ‘width=’350 GoComics includes that in the link to Photobucket (or other hosting sites) which responds with “Image has been moved or deleted”.

    To size an image use:<img src='URL' width='350'>i.e<img src='http://www.smartkitchen.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/wild-turkeys.jpg' width='350'>

Vernon is doing good. Its a good idea to challenge yourself everyday.Try tossing your underwear in the air and jump into them.Kick them in the air after removing them and catching them using one hand (Silly male trick)Put your pants on both legs at one time. (That one is hard)Put your shoes on WITHOUT untying the laces. For ladies (my wife would appreciate this one) Instead of pulling the dress down from your head. Pull them up over your hips. (Its harder than it looks. Something about the figure)Put on tactical body armor weighing 30 pounds by pulling it down over your head with out undoing the side straps. (Actually saw a Trooper do that. He got it half way on and began yelping for help. He was stuck. Armor plates in his face and his arms stuck over his head. We took pictures and laughed)New challenges keep us on our “toes”.

My man said his doctor found 2 bad disks but he still wears regular shoes with steel toes, and his work often has him in odd positions (mostly on his knees- the way furnaces are built). To my workouts, he says he doesn’t need any since he’s up and down and carrying equipment to and fro (and on many stairways). He says it keeps him young and I agree!

Did you notice that leaky is back at DS?

Bev - That’s from the image link without any change in size.GoComics is being wonky about changing the width within the links.

X posted an example above where it worked for him..I tried one where it didn’t.

Till the dust settles, if you save your images at the right size BEFORE uploading them, you won’t have to worry about adding a width attribute. The only time you need that is to control an image that’s too big.

BTW…. your smaller image says “unknown file size” on it….

Gocomics is currently re-writing the HTML code in strange ways….the browser did not have clear instructions for displaying the picture so it used a very small version.

    Only because you asked….

Not something you NEED to know…but HTML is the code that tells a browser what to show you…Letters of the alphabet, pictures, etc are all just code to your computer.

A number, some letters, or even a word between an ampersand (&) and a semi-colon (;) usually means a certain letter or symbol was supposed to be displayed.

    For instance, &copy; should display © …. we’ll see … :)

If you see the code instead, like in that reply box, it was either written by the programmer or interpreted by your browser incorrectly.

Happy…. you can still link to pictures directly, online…but if you’re going to try changing the width…as x_Tech pointed out…. you must use the full code with img src in it, which he kindly posted above, and not the short form with exclamation points.

I tested several on old pages, and then deleted them… one time out of four it failed to make the image smaller, and I don’t know why.

So just test it and be prepared to delete if it fails.

If you can find a picture less than, say, 390 or 400 pixels wide, you can post it without specifying a width, and it will be the size you found it on the other site.

If you don’t know how wide an image is when you find it online, right-click it and select ""Image info" or “properties.”

That will show you width x height in that order.

    Happy, I agree!

Now if we could just convince GoComics.

As for iPad functions… I’m sure the info is somewhere…. but if you can’t find it, maybe you get a sense of the size..you can always try it and delete if too big…then try the full code with width to see whether THAT works.

I have an android phone, and I don’t know Apple stuff very well.

Reply works on my phone but I never use it… I just type the name.

I tried tapping right at the front and back of some pro stickers and all it did was bounce me back up to start of comments. Way too annoying. I have a couple of things I’m researching on other sites and still have not rebuilt my email addys. I don’t care what’s on the floor either unless I have to clean it (May need hazmat equipment)

I’ll head up for a warm bath with a pot of Bengal Spice tea. At least my man Skyped me today; he’s been working nonstop because there were floods (and most furnaces etc are on basement floors). Wish I could draw one for him, but his Jacuzzi is even better more fun together, tho!!
