The prez could have accepted flexibility in the “cuts”, but no, he wants maximum punishment to those who dare to reign in debt.

As I was about to reply to ConserveGov, I suddenly remembered that every bill that has squeaked through the legislation to the President’s desk has had rider and amendments attached to them. Some of them were never debated in committee and no one can be ‘blamed for them" because they were attached with no names. I find it shocking and horrifying that our gov’t can function like this legally.Every bill that goes to the President’s desk is a ticking bomb with some new rule or law no one has given proper attention and to which Americans are going to have to obey. Some will be pleased with this ambush legislation, one bill made laws preventing gov’t oversight on guns permanent, another made it harder to prosecute agricultural companies if their genetically modified plants had problems. These and more were attached to the spending bill, a bill that “HAD” to be passed. What will be put into the immigration bill? Or other future bills? Even if you get what you want “THIS time”, do you want to lose something because of what another congressman does “NEXT TIME”?Also, the legislation has nearly gutted the bill passed last year to prevent them from using their positions to profit off of the stock market.Your gov’t at work. How many of you have written to your congressmen and senators? The sequester is a ham handed way for cowardly legislators to get out of doing their jobs. There are specific cuts that could be made and so many other ways to make our gov’t more efficient without doing the damage to the middle class. They just won’t.Respectfully, and a little scared,C.

It’s too bad SCOTUS said the line item veto was unconstitutional. Then we would see, after a veto, who TRULY wanted WHAT! AND who chickened out when it came to voting for a specific item NOT hidden in another bill.

So the ciniman challenge is what, eat a teaspoon of cinnamon? What do doctors think we did as kids when we couldn’t find any candy?
