Politics: The gentle art of obtaining campaign contributions from the rich, and votes from the poor, by promising to protect each from the other. — Oscar Ameringer (1870-1943)
The politicians, in the case of background checks, did not execute the will of their constituents in any district in this country. They lied about “second amendment” violations that were not part of the bill, confiscations that were not part of the bill, and registrations that were not part of the bill. It’s disgusting.
During the 70’s, I lived in Italy. My neighbours’ take on the Nixon admin scandal was, “Why are you folks upset? Of course they’re corrupt! They’re politicians!”
“The Supreme Court stepped in, and “shoe-horned” “corporations are people” into the equation!”
Yup. This is why we have super pacs, fake grass roots organizations (freedom works), and no way of identifying the corporations who pump money into these political races since the cons filibustered any legislation that would do so.
This should have been separate for a long time. Big money, about 1,000 individuals in particular have bought our government. They have already sold out to Satan. Big Business has.

I have been told that I need to go see the movie Lincoln. Not much has changed since then.

Since corporations are people, I think we should draft a few of them and send them to Afghanistan.
