I think comedian Chris Rock may have struck a raw nerve when he told about the “dumbing down” of Black People when it was commended that one of them did something that they along with the rest of us were supposed to do, anyway, like work for a living, stay off welfare, stay out of jail, etc.…The “dumbing down” of Black People that Chris Rock talked about in his act has spread beyond Black People to just about anything in America these days, where now we are commending police officers for doing what is normally their job and we expect them to do it, because they volunteered, met or exceeded the qualifications and got hired on.…The America of today seems like a “comic book” version of itself, where each criminal out there is treated like a “super-villain” and the everyday folks that go after them, the police and other Law Enforcement agencies, the “super-hero”.…Sooner or later, we may wind up commending waste haulers these days for picking up trash and plumbers for unclogging pipes—tasks that they normally do day-in and day-out, are hired to do because the applied for the job and met the qualifications for that job, just like Law Enforcement professionals did for their jobs.…The “dumbing down” of America needs to cease.…We need to stop commending regular people who do their regular jobs or execute their responsibilities or discharge their regular responsibilities and treating their accomplishment of their regular and expected tasks as an extraordinary feat, which it wasn’t.…We expected the police to act on this terrible act, and they did, just like they were supposed to.…And it was nice to see that the system of Law Enforcement worked here as it was supposed to.…Was it an extraordinary feat?…No.…It was only part of their regular job.…Why treat this like it was anything but that?

Note: The “Cheney/Bush” administration was a “top down only” command structure (too many examples to get into here, but think, a certain date, a certain rational for war, and a certain “Bremmer policy”) which actually was the reason agencies couldn’t “communicate” with each other effectively. As a result, “taking down” bin Laden only took eight years, and a change in administration.

The “Boston boys” were caught in only a few days, because a “different administration” told all agencies to work TOGETHER, and ALL RESOURCES would be shared, and used to apprehend them.

Guess which policies are more effective.

Hey, i’d like someone to commend me for doing my job today, and last week, and before thet too.

I’m pleased the law enforcement did well on this horrible act. Keep up the good work.

And rid your ranks of the bullies that take the law and the justice system into their own hands.

Churchie: I’ve got the report and have read it. That has nothing to do with how Cheney/Rumsfeld and their “buddies” implemented the policy. Both are absolute control freaks, and NO agency in the government was allowed “freedom of thought” under their policies.

^But Cheney and Bush knew exactly where bin Laden was and insisted the “Taliban government” of Afghanistan turn him over. Just like they knew exactly where all Saddam’s WMDs were located. Right.

^^Scott Ritter and William Rivers Pitt published a book, in 2002, spelling out exactly what ALL inspectors found, that Saddam’s “WMD” program was long gone, long before Bush decided to get even for “Poppy”. NO,this Democrat, like my Senator on the intelligence Committee was against everything BushCheney wanted to do on invading Iraq, because it was all based on lies. The Democrats voting with the Republicans (a minority of them) were blitzed by the charge of “traitor” if they didn’t go along with the lies.

Which, interesting that as bad as their “cooperation” though coerced was, they didn’t vote as a block against EVERYTHING Bush did, as the Republicans have on every issue since Obama took office. We don’t have a majority in the House, or a slight minority in the Senate of Republicans, we have recalcitrant obstructionists that are in corporate pockets, and don’t care a whit about what’s good for the American people, or the future of the nation. THAT is what I’d call “treason”.

Hiya Gramps! Have you traded in that walker with the tennis balls for that nifty wheel chair yet? You might wanna start taking some calcium for those old bones of yours :-)

Its funny you should come up with these quotes of yours (as you usually do) since they tell one thing by themselves. Of course when you read the entire speech you come to find out that Iraq’s WMD’s were sold to him by the previous administrations since the Persian Gulf war. Nobody regarded him as a threat anymore and has since not gotten or developed any new WMD’s, but don’t let something like facts get in the way of War Shrub’s ambition. There’s money to be made, and as you know the Neo Cons are all about war and profit. Some of these quotes reference the British Prime Minister (the lap dog) and the White House as “evidence” as to why they should invade Iraq.

You’re wrong then, you’re wrong now, and knowing you you’re gonna start swearing and changing the subject to Cigars and Dresses, two things you yourself personally enjoy.
