Those “Innocent Muslims” should be weeding their own gardens. Do not leave it up to the rest of the world to find and remove the “radicals”.For sure, we can’t tell the difference.
Not all tigers kill humans, but enough of them do kill humans that it is prudent to be wary of all tigers. Tigers cannot change their stripes but “innocent Muslims” have the ability to change Islam’s “stripes” by repudiating and driving out the violent elements of their religion.

Christians need to condemn and apologize for the acts of Christian terrorists in India, Anders Breivik in Norway (the guy who killed 69 teenagers in Norway), and the Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda, right?
No, religion itself is not the problem. Hundreds of millions of the faithful of ALL beliefs, including Islam, practice their faith peacefully. The fact remains, however inconvenient it may be, that the majority of terrorist acts are being committed by Muslims. Until that changes, either because Muslims stop blowing up people or because some other group becomes the more common culprit, Islam will be viewed with suspicion and caution.
To expand on my earlier one-word reply, I consider it the duty of moderates of all religions to repudiate and drive out those who advocate violence against others. Thus far “radical Christianity”, with few exceptions, doesn’t advocate violence and those exceptions ARE repudiated. Even the loathsome Westboro Baptist group doesn’t tell it’s members to go out and kill in the name of Christ.
It is impossible for sane people to defend religious extremists from Islam, Judaism, Christianity (hmm all bible religions) or the brutality practiced against women in Hindu countries. Hmmm, ever notice how flower passing Bahai, or peaceful monks setting fire to THEMSELVES to protest evil, such as in Viet Nam in 65, are derided by bible thumpers seeking Armageddon?
They are following a basic tenet of their religion that calls for war against those who are not Muslim. Be glad the majority of Muslims follow a sect that is more peaceful. Ev en the peaceful Muslims are afraid of the violent sect, and with good reason. They are as likely to be beheaded as a Christian of Jew.

Islamist terrorists are to normal Muslims as the Westboro Baptist Church is to normal Christians. Not representative and not welcomed.

“Cleaning up the morass…” like Christians, apparently the masses are not as newsworthy as the few. Peace be with us all…
