It seems to me that there is a lot of whistling past the graveyard going on here. The Senate bill would have actually weakened many state gun laws but was still a nonstarter. The thing is that this puts Senate Republicans on the wrong side of 90+% of the American public. Under these circumstances how long can the status quo be maintained? It should be worth noting that there was a time not so long ago when the tobacco industry was considered untouchable.

This is a blatant knock off from an earlier cartoon by another artist. I wish I could remember who it was but there have been too many.

I wonder if they use the same standards to calculate the ‘90%’ that they use to calculate un-employment? Like throwing out those opions that do not match their definition.

Ms. Ima, obviously you have never had a member of your family or circle of friends killed by a gun. When that happens you can spout your ignorance. I’m a liberal (dictionary definition, favorable to progress or reform) and it’s obvious you are not a liberal. Nor are you ready to actually speak of truth in relationship to mass safety.

Liberals have STILL not been able to explain how this new gun legislation would have been effective since criminals don’t exactly put themselves THROUGH a background check before they get a gun to commit a crime.

Re: Ms. Ima: “Libs” (i.e., thinking, feeling human beings) will “go waa-waa” as long people continue to be killed by irresponsible gun use. Get used to it.

BTW: When did you stop caring?

And how would a gun law that criminals bypass have kept Gabrielle from being shot by a madman?

The 2nd Amendment is to protect YOU and me from the oppression of government. Today, you may not need a gun but you still need defense from the government.

How would you feel if I took away your right to a defense….lawyer?
