You’ve got it wrong, again, Jeff. Only the Libs want to control everything. NRA is for citizen empowerment, free from government interference, and individual responsibility.

Next thing you know you will need a photo ID to buy everything. & Guess what I have yet to find a clerk that even looks at it when it is required anywhere.

There are plenty of organizations. They are called Police Departments.

Sigh. I had hoped to live long enough to see this turn into a civilised country. But time is running out….

July 24, 2012 – Mayors Against Illegal Guns released the findings of a recent survey by GOP pollster Frank Luntz showing that NRA members and gun owners overwhelmingly support a variety of laws designed to keep firearms out of dangerous hands. The survey’s key findings include that 87 percent of NRA members agree that support for Second Amendment rights goes hand-in-hand with keeping guns out of the hands of criminals, and 74 percent of NRA members and 87 percent of non-NRA gun owners support requiring criminal background checks of anyone purchasing a gun.

Got that? Poll by GOPer who is on Fox News says 74% of NRA members want background checks yet the NRA opposed them.

Jeff, I think you are going about this backwards. It really needs to be Wayne L holding up an IED saying “The only way to stop a bad guy with an IED is a good guy with an IED.”

As it happens, the NRA has already acted to make it harder for the Boston investigators.http://tv.msnbc.com/2013/04/17/how-the-gun-lobby-has-already-blocked-bostons-bombing-investigators/And ScottPM, don’t be an idiot. No one succeeded in having a mass murder with a knife — we KNOW, because there have been two attempts recently. When you attack someone with a gun, including yourself (85% of gun suicides succeed versus 15% by other means), you are more likely to succeed. So don’t try to persuade us they are all the same. By your logic, everyone should be allowed nuclear weapons, because, hey, people will use whatever comes to hand.

The NRA should remember that bombs don’t kill people. People kill people.

Stahler has once again renewed his cocktail party dance card for the moment. He doesn’t actually need to make sense, just toe the Hollywood left-liberal line. I smell an invite to the Lincoln bedroom, reserved only for the most sanctimonious!
