Success ruins many people. Thinking back on (recent)history of my family, I’m glad that my dad did not get that Hollywood job he had signed for at the time he and mom were married. (When they arrived out there, merger had occurred 20th Cent + Fox and he returned to IL and family Real Estate business – a relatively sane life).
