There is nothing wrong with being delusional. It beats the real world if you have to take meds to see the real world.

But the Afghan people like the Taliban, especially their practice of hanging women from soccer goals if they go out in public and shooting little girls if they try to get an education.

!If they didn’t like it, they’d kill every Taliban thug they met.

“Writer’s block is lifted” and all he comes up with is a guy in an Afghan cap swinging a sword? How about characters, plot, dialogue?

As long as they can keep their SS and Medicare, they’re more than happy to further enrich the uber-masters that finance their movement. Wonder if they’ve ever even heard of the Koch Brothers. Dick Armey sure took his millions and bailed on them.

Well some one has to fund this little trip out west.. Who better than a broke writer looking for inspiration. As I recall it worked out for some one back in the 1960’s…..

Too sadly true Ken. As the tea party sells every American, including their families to the likes of Koch brothers. The useful fools that do not see this have bought into we are saving America by selling everything to the Corporations.

The sad part is that in a few generations the fight our fathers, grandfathers, and in some cases great grand fathers fought. Will have to be fought all over again..

But maybe then our descendents will realize the mistake of of trusting a corporation to do right. Or trying to run a government as though it were a business,. Maybe..

    Ken,

I would encourage you to attend a Tea Party rally and make up your own mind about who and what they represent rather than rely upon some propaganda image.

Several years ago I did attend a couple of tea party rallies here in the middle America just to see what the buzz was about. There were about 600 people at each rally. The people were predominantly couples many with children and covered all age groups. The most striking thing about the people was they were all pleasant, polite, well groomed with hair combed, shoes shined, clothes clean and pressed, no visible tattoos. From the press I sort of expected a bunch of bomb throwing crazies with tails. I thought these people would be great neighbors. The rally message was fiscal responsibility. So I do not understand the liberal press that seems to want to crucify these people for their beliefs.

The framers of our constitution had no intention of having the huge standing military that we have today. They wanted peaceful trade with all nations and wanted to stay out of meddling in the affairs of others. The only foreign wars we fought were all defensive and involved no post war occupations. The obsession of our government to force the “American” way on others is costing us more money than we can afford. The money we could use at home. But, I forget that you think we all should pick ourselves up by our own bootstraps. You don’t realise that some never had bootstraps and others have broken bootstraps. May God have mercy on you if your bootstraps break.

This is the absolute truth, Red. Universal health care, for all, would be cheaper all around for the whole country.

I believe the word “regulated” is in that constitution you seem to want to defend so fiercely.
