Ignoring the news, the bomber will be caught soon. According to the videos, he was on his cellphone when dropping off his package. What a lot of people, particularly this individual, don’t realize is that all calls on all phones are logged. A cell phone activates the three nearest towers, in order to track a moving phone so the signal is not dropped. The call logs can triangulate a position accurate within 30 feet, even less in areas with full coverage. That narrows the suspect down to maybe 15 people, each of whom are probably being contacted by the FBI. The other end of the conversation will be know as well, exposing any accomplices. This is how we test new towers and switches in my business, by tracking a tester in their car as they drive around. The FBI, CIA, Secret Service, and police all have the right to access these logs in the course of an investigation. The whole idea of needing time to “trace a call” was actually misinformation from the FBI that Hollywood has been using for years. Every phone call has a beginning and an end point, which is known immediately as soon as the connection is made. Expect the arrest by Monday.
