Unfortunately it’s a red district, and was his district once. It appears SC Republicans are airing massive commercials, not for him, but against Ms. Busch. Still, I hope she wins.

He cheated on each of his ex-wives. As governor, Sanford ditched his duties and constituents to spend time with the woman he was cheating on his wife with on another continent. They still have political careers in the party that professes to be all about the “family values.”
@howgozit: I hope you do not occupy a managerial capacity. If so, I would guess that turnover of employees would be a constant nightmare for you. Just can’t say anything without being ugly. I hope life goes better for you in the future.
“The GOP has pulled its support of Sanford. For the most part, Republicans step down and Democrats are celebrated for indiscretions.”For the most part, your assertion is BS. Republicans had financially backed Sanford’s congressional election campaign despite his previous actions. The Republicans withdrew their support within hours of the revelation his ex-wife had filed a court complaint accusing him of trespassing at her home. Let’s not forget that Gingrich is still an influential politician years after his infidelities were known. You either missed my point, or you avoided it. Onguard and ScottPM asserted that specifically Bill Clinton has “lowered the bar”. That is a load of crap. Infidelity knows no politics. There is no shortage sexual impropriety on either side of the isle. To suggest any different is dishonest.

This guy is pure slime. I hope the women voters in S.C. take a “Lysistrata” stand as a threat to any men that would vote for him.
