Alix: Mom?! Holly's picking on BISCUIT! Val: How? Alix: She says Biscuit can't learn to shake or roll over or jump through a hoop! Val: Well...maybe she CAN'T. Alix: She can do ALL that stuff. She's just choosing not to. Val: I SEE... Biscuit: I sense sarcasm and I don't appreciate it.

i think she means it

Would be irony if she mentioned an example where a certain daughter decided not to learn something from school to avoid homework.

Now, if Biscuit were a cat, I would truly believe that she was choosing not to.

Love the story of Mickey!
I’m wondering if Biscuit might just decide to do a trick or two just to show Val.

For us our cat when we get up in morning our cat in a way says about time my bed time now. Otherwise he will yell at us. Every morning he spends most morning sleep on our bed.

Great story. Of course everyone knows the expression that dogs come when they’re called but a cat takes a message and gets back to you later. And that dogs have masters, cats have staff.

Rat/Russel Terriers are special and take special people to train them.
Keeping them engaged is like herding cats.
Skeeter could fetch quite well when she wanted to, but then she’d decide the ball was either a chew toy or a tug-of-war toy.
The funniest part of the whole mindset was that while she loved balls, squeak toys were the invention of the Devil in her mind. You could chase her down and turn her into a whimpering mess. We never figured out where that came from.
