Lunch and comic books in a treehouse, yep, that’s my kind of summer.I had stacks of comic books. The best ones were falling apart from so much use (I shared them with the neighbor kids, too)

What a great mom!

This reminds me so much of the days of my youth. I had two imaginary friends, both Teddy Bears, Dirty and Bear. The white one was Dirty, for obvious reasons.

A great summer!

I love summer too. Especially, the days where the weather is not humid.

I don’t know why my parents sent me to night camp when I was 9 since I enjoyed so much being home during the summer.

I remember when my summer days were like that, all I needed were my stuffed animals, food, and some reading material to be happy.

Y’know, I had completely forgotten how beautiful some days of my childhood were. I might still have some of those old comic books as well. Roll on Spring, I might get them out before Summer.

Is it my imagination or did they skip a strip in this story? I might have the check ‘The Days are Just Packed’ book again.

My summer days were filled with playing baseball.

I remember being up in a tree on a nice summer day then on my way down my hands slipped and I came down out of the tree before I was ready and landed on my ‘bum’ but my arm was broken. Never climbed another tree.

Good times, we all had summers like that. Moms would kick us out of the house and tell us to just be back at dinner time. Of course, now days with electronic devices taking the place of having an imagination, I’m not sure kids understand how valuable those times were for us, and how much they are missing.

This one brought a smile on my face.

Ah memories as a kid. Summer was great. No homework, swimming and goofing off all day. Now summer is my busy season. But I do look forward to fall.
