Arlo is the Cat’s Person, Janice is just Staff.

I like them both they seem to get along well and genuinely like each other. It’s hard to live with someone all the time. At least it is for me.

All that talk about puppies the other week may have had something to do with it.

He likes Arlo best because Arlo greeted him warmly and Janis complained about the shedding. (can’t believe that needed to be explained)

I don’t think Janis ever liked Ludwig.

Maybe Luddie likes him better than Gene and his family as well. Besides, the joke always uses best, and who is Janis to mess with tradition?

have no use for cats – fine if you like them but please keep them confined. I have always kept my dogs undercontrol. I have chased a “neighbor’s” cat away several times in the past few weeks well after 8pm. I have doves that nest very closely around my house (deck and patio). This well fed cat comes late and has killed one baby bird (it was in pieces) and attacked the nest with eggs twice. The doves have also abandoned another nest. Doves usually hatch 6 sets of 2 eggs. These doves have already lost 5 out of 12. You ‘own’ and feed an animal – be responsible! I don’t know which neighbor has the cat but if I find out they will get an education. I do not want or intend to hurt the cat but the owner should be more aware and responsible.

Shedding season started in February at our house — 4 of them. Luckily we have central vac — makes it a lot easier.

My wife asks the same question. I don’t scream at them when they’re somewhere they shouldn’t be, and I feed them.
