Wow, reaching here. An economics reporter in FORBES who is concerned about the cost of energy is anti-global-climate research, and blithely claims to know more about the subject than all his readers. Impressive. I note that realclimate.org (real climate scientists) doesn’t have a listing for Peter Ferrara, though they do for Lindzen, who is one of Ferrara’s main sources. See one of their many take-downs on him here: http://www.realclimate.org/index.php/archives/2012/03/misrepresentation-from-lindzen/ Your first source, from policymic.com, is far worse. Not only is it misrepresenting data blatantly, not only does it cite a letter with a mere sixteen names (half of which lack the credentials for an informed opinion) as if the entire science of global warming, it cites a movie that has been called out for outright falsehoods. Try again, and this time try for some data. You’re reaching here. A few hard-heads do not take down an entire body of work. They need a bit more research than that.
There is a local show called Florida This Week on WEDU (PBS) that I watch every week.This week they had two elected Democrats and two elected Republicans and the moderator.I was surprised how much they agreed on.One topic was the money collected from us by Progress Energy, soon to be Duke, for building a nuclear power plant.Plans to build a nuclear plant have been scrapped because of the cost.A nuclear plant costs between $10 and $20 billion.A natural gas fired plant can be built for just under $1 billion.But nobody on the show mentioned global warming.(also they didn’t say if we get our money back for the nuclear plant that won’t be built)I can only conclude that these 4 elected local politicians are short sighted and don’t accept the scientific fact of global warming.
Ozone depletion can be measured. Skin cancer rates are rising quickly. Asthma and allergy are becoming more commonly reported and harder to remedy. The air in many Chinese cities is brown. It was that way in LA before there were clean air initiatives (smog tests for cars, for example). Much of our sea water is full of garbage and unidentified chemicals.
If you don’t want to believe that this has any effect on the planet, do so at your own peril.
There are a lot of truths I would prefer to ignore, but I have found that if you ignore truth, it doesn’t make it any less truthful.

Night-Gaunt49: Climate vs weather. It doesn’t undermine the reality of global warming to admit three (out of ten) record heat was not in the last 15 years – seven were and even in those years, the average temperature for all days of the year fell long ago.
