I wonder if they decided to help by having the checks pre-written? All he would need to do then is to sign them.

And mom and Emmy Lou are hoping that he makes out checks to them for cash.
I can remember getting a box full of new checks, along with a brand-new cover, it WAS a big deal. Doesn’t happen often these days, write so few checks.
