Y’know, when I first conceived my version if Thor I thought of horns, the strip being about myths and all, I thought it might be fun to exploit that big myth about Viking helms. But I knew that I would get crap for it from the ‘purists’ and I would just come off as lazy if I did that. So I went for the weather vane instead, since Thor’s ‘powers’ are weather-based. I don’t remember getting comments about his lightning-shaped eyebrows though.
