And yes, some Democrats have changed their minds recently.

How, exactly, would same-sex marriage destroy anyone else’s marriage? This has been the major weakness in any argument against legalizing same-sex marriage — that somehow it will infringe on the rights of heterosexual couples. But it will not, and cannot. So why the idiotic paranoia about letting same-sex couples marry? If Steve and George or Wendy and Sally want to marry, how would that affect YOUR marriage (assuming you are married at all)? As for kids, there is no evidence that same-sex parenting is any worse than heterosexual parenting, and if marriage is just for making babies, why allow older heterosexual couples to marry?

If legalizing gay marriage destroys your marriage, I think there is a conversation you and your spouse should have had by now…

I don’t believe “marriage” is trademarked by you or any other heterosexual.

“Sexual perversion is NOT a human right”60 years ago that’s what was being said about inter-racial marriage. 150 years ago, religion was used to justify slavery and savage treatment of blacks. It’s your belief that what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own bedroom constitutes perversion, not mine. The constitutional separation of Church and State means you have no right to use your pseudo-Christian beliefs as a basis to deny other people equal protection under the law. Keep your pseudo-Christian values and your blind hate of others out of my life.

In what way would recognizing same-sex marriage cause children to suffer?"in fact, fritzoid it does the opposite. it is good for the children and good for society.gay parents tend to adopt ANY child, where het’s want a “PERFECT” child (or are the ones who produce unwanted children).The children that gay parents adopt tend to be orphans with fetal alcohol syndrome and other ‘preventable’ drug issues. These are kids that NO ONE ELSE WANTED to adopt. So while people like on-guard shed crocodile tears for whatever argument he can pull out of his a$$, THE FACT is that there WERE tens of thousands of unwanted children that no onguards or gresches would consider adopting, and never would have been adopted that now are WANTED and are being raised in loving, nurturing environments with parents that love them.of course the radical right will be offended and will say “They would be better off with a straight couple, that makes for the BEST family”. so they would sentence these kids to NO family rather than give them a chance with a less than PERFECT family that really wants them.how many of these RWNJ’s do you think consider themselves perfect parents? i’ll be 100 percent. Yes, voters always vote it down… unless you count 2012 as an “election.” I know that you’d prefer to pretend the whole year didn’t happen, but here in the real world, it did.
