I’m beginning to remember this story arc. I think Elizabeth does end up going to the hospital, but I don’t remember what for.

It’s nice to see Michael caring about his baby sister instead of fighting with her.

All right, people — you’ve made yourselves quite clear. It’s not necessary to be rude about it, though. Keep that up, and I’ll REALLY start cranking out the spoilers just to spite y’all! :-P

She goes to the hospital? That is not a spoiler.

She bugs him nonstop and he find her annoying and bratty, but now he misses it. That’s sibling love right there.

Michael and Lizzie may not always get along but they always love each other. I think it’s very sweet of him to be so concerned about her and angry at the germs that have made her sick. He can be a pretty great big brother sometimes!!!!! ;-)

Even asleep you can tell she is sick. Mouth open indicates her nose is stopped up and her breathing probably doesn’t sound normal. She looks droopy. The contrast with her normal self makes Mike realize he really likes having her around.

Considering that Lynn and Sparky were friends, this may even be a nod to the Peanuts strip.

Cute that this is one of the early stories that showed Michael caring about his little sister.

When I was not going to make it, my older brother reacted the same as Mike.
