What makes you think it’s over?

One man’s junk is another woman’s treasure!

Oh the mess that was left in my dad’s house after his second wife (my step mom) passed away. She was such a pack rat! And my husband’s uncle was even worse. You couldn’t even walk in that place. My poor sister in law had to clean it all up by herself and it was disgusting!

Why is it everything we have is junk and everything they have is Valuable collectibles?

Come to my house. I’ll leave for a week and get rid of ALL the “treasures.” I won’t know it’s missing until I need it!

I saw an episode of “American Pickers” with that clock. Very valuable 1950’s antique.

And SHE probably wanted to get rid of it too. I SHOULD empty out a lot of things (but then I might need them). LOL!

And now a clock like that is a collectable. Part of the mid-century collection

My mom’s death certificate turned up on top of my dresser. (She died in 1992.) I can’t throw that out, can I?

We had that same starburst clock! I think they were required by law to be in alternating houses in the 1960s.

I really don’t have that much of a problem getting rid of something ugly or useless that my mother or some other relative gives me . . . I just make sure to do it when they’re not looking!!!!! ;-)

Apparently, what’s good for the goose is not good for the gander…..

I’m sorry you had to go through with that. I’m sure it was hard.

My parents had that same clock too! I miss the 70’s. :-)
