OK, I’m British and I don’t get this. Rugby is not a soft game. Compared to Rugby, your American ‘football’ is for softies. I mean, your guys wear padding!
Dunno, in my youth when I played football ( soccer ) we shared the clubhouse with the rugby team. Not only could they out drink us, but they could outshout and out sing us, too. Many ruggers had great singing voices and their songs were a lot bawdier and more interesting than ours.Probably would be an X-rated musical !
