Assigning a cartoon character to every Holiday is a silly idea, but most parents find it easier than trying to explain anything serious to their children. Not a jew myself, I did the whole Passover thing myself one year (when my children were in their teens and had many Jewish friends nearby). I was impress by the fact that there was a specific portion where the youngest child asked about the meanings and it was explained. I had help from an orthedox friend with my menu and there was a radio program which I turned on for background (in Yiddish, so turned on low) and I still have the lovely enamaled candlesticks that I bought for that. I used this one for Valentine’s last year. (partially covered by a photo of my love with whom I shared via Skype).
Wish I was a big shot. Then I could get somebody else to do the grunt work. :-)The hubby and I own a salvage yard (where cars go to die). So that makes me chief cook/bottle washer, mom, wife, business owner, book keeper, volunteer at school and pet keeper. That is what I do for a living……if anyone finds an extra mind laying around……Oh and Happy Easter or Bunny day or whatever you crazy kids are celebrating today.
