It’d be all fun and games until someone broke an arm landing wrong.

The “Bail Out”, when the other kid is up in the air, is always fun…

Most playgrounds have already removed the see-saws due to perceived safety concerns ….

My favorite sea-saw as a child was one at my grandparents’ house. It was anchored on one pole, so no only did it go up and down (so dangerous nowadays), but it also spun around. All the grandchildren loved it (in spite of several hit heads, etc.).

When we were kids we had a see-saw made of metal. Most of the time it was okay to sit on, except when it got too hot. We never wore it out, no matter how hard we tried. It finally ended up rusting into oblivion. Nowadays it would be considered a safety hazard. We did get creative with it, but not like these guys. lol

It seems that girl with a blonde ponytail is holding on to that boy. The one in the lower left panel.

when I was in 6th grade we would stand on the ends (they were more like 2′×10′’s, and see how high we could make each other go higher (jumping) at the top. We then would land on the board to see the other kid go as high as possible. I was one of a few girls to take this up. Mostly it was a boy-thing.
