I am not allowed to touch beets on the count that when opening a can a couple of years ago I spilled it all over the cleaned kitchen. The can opener that we had would not work correctly and the can never opened all the way. So I took the can opener and hit the top of the can. Forget to drain the juice out of the can. Beet juice everywhere on me, the counter, the stove, the wall, and the ceiling. My family has not let me forget that at all.
