“America owes this debt of gratitude to Boehner after he finally came clean on yesterday’s edition of ABC’s “This Week” and admitted that “we do not have an immediate debt crisis.”

Great, so Boehner et.al. is just as stupid and irresponsible as the democrats in managing the economy. I would like to know in fiscal terms how this is going to make a difference in restoring our economy? How is this going to affect the labor market? How is this going to foster cooperation between the two parties to work together and deal with fraud and waste in government spending that congress chooses to ignore? Is this going to foster a more amenable environment in Washington and suddenly we will have transparency and credibility amongst our political leaders?

The American people are getting a huge political con job shoved down our throats. I fail to see where this makes a damn bit of difference other than more political posturing. Both of the recent budgets brought forth are a joke. Ryan just rewrapped his last budget and accelerated the timeline. The democrats put forth a plan that is full of spending increases and new taxes. Both are DOA on the house and senate floor. What is this latest political revelation going to do to deal with that?

Radish you seem really pleased and impressed with this latest “alignment.” I would really appreciate it to have someone enlighten me and answer the questions I included above.

Here is a way to ‘not worry about debt’:Prioritize all the spending at the Item Level.Write govt checks until the Revenue for the month is Spent.Let the PACs adopt the remaining Spending Items. Now we have a balanced budget and PACs get to support their priorities. If there is not enough money in the PACs, then LET THEM GO INTO DEBT to fund their favorite programs.

I heard that story on msnbc and my first reaction was that it must be a Kinsley gaffe. But I am not sure what Boehner’s motivation would be.
