Karzai was hand picked by the Bush administration. Heckuva job, Dubbya!I wonder if Karzai has picked a nation for his retirement. He’s a dead man if he stays in Afghainistan.

The cartoon presents the clearest reason why we need to bring our sons and daughters out of that nation. I will grieve for the women and girls when our people go. I will be pained for the moderate Muslims, Christians, and others who will become victims of the conservative Muslims and Taliban. I will regret the loss of lives and resources our nation provided to a corrupt leadership. I will also rejoice to have my neighbors home where they can use their training and discipline to help move our nation forward in greater safety. Perhaps they can become the replacements for the legislators who care more about themselves than their constituents. American loves patriots.Respectfully,C.

Unbelievable, @David posts with very selective memories.Bush had his term planned for domestic issues, and most certainly did not want war, did not plan war, and did not Fail the Duty of a president who takes an Oath to defend the USA and our Constitution and our way of life. Our Constitution put the First and Priority Duty=Defense.-Congress controls Veteran Benefits and unfortunately our nation has a record of slighting war veterans since the Revolutionary War to win independence from England.-War is costly. But refusing to defend and foreign occupations are more costly. Why don’t you rabid Anti-War citizens leave for some other “Peaceful” spot on this earth???? And when you find that “Peaceful spot”, be sure to write and let the rest of us know where it is!

Supporting Masood (sp) and the northern alliance instead of assassinating him, and supporting this "Friend of Condi’s) moron would have seen an end to the “troubles” a long time ago. The jurga worked well in Afghanistan for centuries, and still would, and it was a democratic process far more effective than this twit Karzai (Cheney Jr.).

braindead08 said, about 2 hours ago…(Paul Oneill, treas.sec/Bush…opinion….)Yes, USA Today, 60 Minutes and Time magazine. No agenda there! That is one official’s interpretation and opinion.-GHBush led the Gulf War 1991, to kick Saddam out of Kuwait.Saddam agreed to obey UN rules and sanctions but did not.Iraq under the sadistic family of Saddam and his 2 chips-off-the-block committed decades of human abuse on Iraqis and neighboring peoples, using chemical warfare. Saddams prisons and torture chambers and mass graves prove Saddam needed to be taken out of power long before the Afghanistan-protected Taliban/Al Qaeda attack of 9/11/01.How could any person believing in Human Rights oppose the Iraq War….from 3/19/03 to 5/l/03 the major combat was finished and Iraq looked almost the same as before the war.And the Iraqi people were free of a cruel tyrant.-It was the occupation that went offtrack….the US is not practised in dealing with Jihadist sneaky war MOs.But Bush retaliated with the Surge and drove Al Qaeda out of Iraq. Giving a nation of people freedom and independence to choose their own government cannot be a bad record for a president. Bush handed Obama a farly stable situation, and Obama dropped the ball and “lost the occupation”….in his haste to pull the US military out of Iraq and Afghanistan.-If you condemn Bush for dealing with “the guy who was there” meaning Karzai, what do you think of Obama not only dealing with Egypt’s new Muslim Brotherhood Morsi? We are “broke” but Obama/Kerry are giving Morsi $250 million out of our “empty treasury”?
