Don’t feel sorry for the rapists. I was involved in a case where an employee of mine confided that her boyfriend and two buddies really injured a man in a fight when they got drunk. The guys were 21, and the victim was 38 with two children, who was walking down the street and was harassed by them into the fight (this was witness testimony). The man died of head injuries two days later, the three guys skipped town, and the employee denied everything she told me to the cops. When they were caught, they were charged and convicted of aggravated assault only, because the victim chose not to go to the hospital when the ambulance arrived.In high school, the three boys were state-level wrestlers, and each had won the state title at least once in their weight class. because of this, it was overlooked that they were bullies who were accused of rape, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and aggravated assault while in school. They were never brought up on charges until they actually killed someone.Come down hard on these and any kids accused of rape or violent crimes, if convicted. They don’t have promising lives ahead of them, just criminal ones, if they are not taught that all actions have consequences.

You think that they were all drinking heavily (at one stage or another) might have had something to do with it? It’s bad enough that teenagers are just raging hormones in motion, but then you add alcohol and what little common sense they have goes out the window.

Thousands of rapes across the country, but ONE case holds national attention? Media make ONE homicide “big news” while over 30 people a day in the U.S. are murdered, yes, EVERY DAY! A reflection of stupidity and misplaced “attention” by our media, and society.

But, yes, it is taking away boys ability to play football, or lacrosse, that gets national attention. I suggest that in rape cases like this, take away “something else”. When convicted of egregious rape, take away their “equipment” make them eunuchs, and at least recidivism isn’t an issue.

I am sorry, but respect for the law is not just a conservative idea. Both moderates and certainly moderate liberals also have a great respect for the law. In fact, the NAZI movement of the 1930’s in Germany certainly not only was a very conservative movement, but also certainly did not respect the laws (at least until they were the only ones making the laws). And anyone having even the slightest liberal ideas was automatically a “law breaker” to these ultra-ultra conservatives. In fact, respect for reasonable laws against such heinous acts as rape is a civilized thing, and neither liberals nor conservatives should object to such laws, nor in any way excuse rapists!!

“Are you saying alcohol caused the rape?”

:No David, it all takes human activation with or without alcohol. But, the likelihood of it happening is far greater when alcohol is involved. Kids or anyone else can flip over to retard and commit all sorts of heinous crimes, sober as a judge. *I did drug and alcohol counseling for teenagers for a few years and although I don’t remember the exact statistics, I would venture to guess your looking at a 90% rate for alcohol complicit rape, gang rape, date rape, whatever. That was about 5 years ago.

Nonsense. Liberals and progressives have consistently at the forefront of protecting women, not conservatives, who forbade them to vote and consider a woman’s “proper place” to be obedient to the husband and accept abuse. It is conservative cultures who restrict and abuse women. Sports culture is hardly liberalism.

Yes, there has to be the “predisposition.” That’s one of the reasons when people hypnotize someone they can’t get them to perform activities that they wouldn’t do when “normal.” Especially violence.

When I first saw Blazing Saddles I laughed so hard I almost lost it. I still watch it every now and then just to lighten up.
