Pfft. This is my house every day. Get the clothes first. Then do the dishes. If you’re short on time, order pizza.

In my house, this perfect storm would be all that, and the drain plugging up right about now.

unload the dryer and fold or hang up so you don’t have to iron out the wrinkles, load it with the wet clothes, unload and put away the dishes and reload the dishwasher, then pour yourself a tall drink, get a bowl of chips or popcorn and go watch a movie, until the second load in the dryer stops, then go fold/hang them and go to bed.

I always hated emptying the dishwasher – then I timed myself. It took 2 minutes – 2 MINUTES. I hated something that took 2 minutes. Now I JUST DO IT.

Dry a load of clothes while the second load washes. Fold and put them away as they come out of the dryer. Clothes left in the dryer to cool off only get wrinkled. Wash the dishes by hand in straight hot water (water heater set at 140F). I don’t like dishwashers. It takes the dishwasher over an hour of water and electricity to do what I can do by hand in about 10 minutes or so, depending on how many people were fed. Plus, when I wash by hand, the dishes and glasses do not have spots left on them like when washed in the dishwasher.

I don’t have a dishwasher, unless you count my two hands.

Looks like the end of a strike week at my house. Every now and again I go on strike, only to pay for it at the end of the week. I get tired of looking at it before anyone else does. So first deal with the dry clothes. Put things that don’t wrinkle in basket and lay out shirts. Switch laundry loads, dump dishwasher then reload. Don’t forget to fold the dry clothes or you end up living out of the basket for the next week. Meanwhile, deal with the kid, dog, computer and the ever ringing phone.

I wash most things by hand and reuse the same pieces over again when air dryed. I also dry all my clothes and linens whether washed by hand or in the machine, outside on the line (possible year-round here in AZ). Only have the dryer for visitors who may be in a hurry for something.

beviek Phil was executed! OH NO! When? Last I heard they were just serving the lawsuit!

He actually is a cute little guy, and it’s a fun thing for the town. People come from all the surrounding states for all the festivities. The town is so small, the revenue from that event really helps the town out. It is a nice little town with a lot of history.

And don’t worry, we get to “meet” Virgil next!

Jkiss I go on strike with the dishes and kitchen garbage can. It works, and I get so stubborn, I will let the dishes sit and sit until someone has to wash out one drinking glass or one fork, then the LIGHT BULB comes on! Same way with the garbage can!
