Republicans take Paul Ryan seriously. Seriously?

Just like last year’s Republican budget. Nothing for regular people. And this is the same party that takes Michelle Bachman seriously.

Time Magazine’s March 4th issue was very interesting.^http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,2136864,00.html^We are already being taxed at an incredible level. Just as 15 cents of every dollar you spend at a store compensates that store for items shoplifted, people who go to emergency rooms for last minute care and can’t pay for it are making us and our insurance companies pay X% more for healthcare. In many cases, if the people who go to the ER for last resort care had been able to see doctors for regular check ups, the more expensive urgent care could have been avoided.^Just as we need car insurance to drive, we need health insurance to live. If you are healthy all of your life, inevitably, you are going to need to see a doctor and the premiums you pay in your 20’s and 30’s will contribute to your needs in your 70s+. ^I agree the healthcare plan we currently have needs improvement. But you don’t improve something by “blowing it up”. The Republican and Democrat ‘tribes’ need to set aside their entrenched ideologies and work together on a long term, long sighted, all encompassing program that will help all Americans, not just their donors.Respectfully,C.

Most demirats are rethuglicans who just won’t admit it. The entire federal government is guilty by accessory to crimes committed upon the world, as well as against the USA, by foreign governments and multinational corporations posing as alleged allies and U.S. businesses. I believe in free trade but capitalism is a cancer in the international marketplace. Politics (i.e. diplomacy – there’s a novel concept) should promote peace; robust economies and stable, healthy populations are dividends.

As a liberal Democrat I applaud the tea party’s efforts to rid themselves of the Republican establishment. Then they really will be nothing but a disorganized, decentralized, regional party of angry white men and women who will matter not at all.
